Getting Started

As a child the first time you were handed a crayon, it is unlikely that pages of Pulitzer level material were written (if you did then you don’t need to read this post).

Getting started – With crayon in hand you were taught how to hold the writing instrument. You started to draw shapes, perhaps initially unrecognizable, familiar however to only a few loving family members. But eventually recognized as letters of the alphabet. All the while strengthening your grip and improving dexterity.

Getting started – you then learned to draw those letters in a specific order to form words which furthering your ability to draw the letters, continuing to strengthen your grip, and while practicing drawing words you learned how to spell.

Getting Started – with an adiquately developed grip, the ability to draw shapes recognizable as letters and the knowledge of spelling you combined those skills finally placing the words into sentences.

Getting Started – This first post is a crayon handed to me for the first time. If you have something you have been thinking about starting, fresh perhaps by a few days, or perhaps several decades, yet remains relevant…remember that you do not need permission to reach for the crayon – and do not wait for it to be handed to you. Whatever your idea, or notion to travel some direction, there are an unlimited number of crayons available – pick yours and get started.

Getting Started – With crayon in hand, just start to draw, do not worry or concern yourself with producing Pulitzer material, just work on your grip. And if you practice daily, before long you will be drawing letters, then words, then sentences, and who knows, you might contribute in ways you cannot now imagine.

If you stopped by and this is not for you, I want to thank you for reading, and as you move on, I have no doubt that you will eventually find what you need. If you stay and this is something for you, then thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy future posts.
